Micheal Higgins

SVP Information Technology

Michael has over 30 years of experience of working in the technology industry. He undertook his undergraduate education in Physics and Astrophysics at San Diego State University. He subsequently has attained multiple certifications in technologies such as Oracle, Microsoft, Linux, etc. During his career Michael has worked for a wide range of innovative and industry leading organizations including Byer California, Netscape and most recently with Dell Computer where he was employed as a Senior I/T Manager.

At Dell Michael was responsible for ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Best Practice) availability management and data base administration. In addition Michael was also the Chief Technical Architect for Dell EMEA online store (www.dell.com) and he was the principle architect for the implementation of Oracle Order Management. In addition Michael was the chief designer of the Dell Credit Card Processing Engine for Online (Internet). In Netscape Michael undertook design and onsite consultancy for a range of high profile clients including MasterCard International, Amazon.com, JC Penney, and the Wall Street Journal among others. Michael was also responsible for the design of the Netscape SET/SSL payment gateway and is the holder of a number of related patents. Michael has overall responsibility for the ongoing development of the AI IT strategy, the design of appropriate technology architecture and the selection and management of appropriate IT business partners. Micheal joined the company in 2009 and he is based at AI's Group Headquarters in Limerick, Ireland.
